I believe these to be vintage shuttles. They were recently acquired by me, in one batch, with no info as to their provenance, but appear in good to very good condition. I’m not a seasoned weaver and don’t know more than what I can describe by virtue of handling them and show by way of photographs. 3 rag shuttles, wood smooth but not polished, 1 has tip that appears to have been nibbled (see closeup photo), approx. 18 1/2” x 3” outside width (2” or slightly less inside, where rags go) x 2” high. No brand appears anywhere. 1 Glimakra open bottom boat shuttle with rollers. GAD embossed on top. Pin that holds quill (not included) appears to be spring loaded and is lifted by pinching and pulling back. Nicely polished, maple I think (??), approx. 15” x 2” x 1”. Opening for quill is approx. 6 7/8”. $37 via Paypal includes shipping to lower 48 United States. 3 images below.
3 open bottom flying boat shuttles with rollers. Metal tips are not perfectly smooth as they fit against the wood - one in particular, as seen in photo. And some of the metal pins that go through, from side to side to hold the rollers in place, can be felt (not tapped in quite enough to be smooth.) Approx. 12” x 1 1/2” wide x a smidgen over 3/4” high. Pin that holds the bobbin or quill (not included) is approx. 4 3/4”.
