ISO: table loom to try out

I live in south/central Georgia, just east of Valdosta, about 30 mi north of the Ga/Fla state line. I own a Saori 2 h floor loom but want a loom with more than 2 harnesses, so I am considering my options. My options are to upgrade the Saori to 4 harnesses, buy a second 4 harness loom, or buy an 8 harness loom. Cost, of course, is a factor so I’m considering table looms.

But I’ve never seen or tried a table loom in person. I don’t mind the fact that weaving is slower than on a floor loom. I do just fine with my rigid heddle loom. I want something mainly to make small hand towels, placemats, scarves and such. I think the closest weaving guild is a few hours away. I’d prefer something closer.

I’m wondering if anyone who lives in the lower half of Georgia or north Florida would be willing to let me try their table loom. I’m particularly interested in trying a Louet Jane, Ashford table loom or Leclerc Voyager. But really I’d appreciate trying any table loom so I can get an idea of what it’s like to work with one. I’d be willing to meet you in your town, my town, or anywhere inbetween.

So if you love your table loom and wouldn’t mind me trying it, pm me and we’ll see if we are close enough to meet.
