I am the second owner of this loom, purchased in 2006; set up and stored in my heated weaving studio so all wood in perfect condition. The original owner purchased this loom in the mid 1980’s, and received it directly from Sweden; Madelyn van der Hoogt helped her set it all up back then. And the details….
Single unit draw, with overhead drawstring tensioned warp.
2000+ long eye draw heddles, hand tied cotton string, in solid condition
290+ lingoes (I counted 298, and may have missed 2? But definitely 290 there)
10 shafts, 10 treadles, horizontal countermarch
3 reeds – 12 epi, 40 epi, 30 epi
Two warp beams
150 cm (59 in) weaving width
240 cm (95 in) long
195 cm (77 in) high at max height
2 additional reeds are part of the draw harness system.
25 weights for the countermarche system
