Hi all! I work at a yarn shop in Erie PA. Before my time, the owner made a trade for the loom that we are listing for sale. We have a 10 harness, 10 treadle Oxaback Ulla Cyrus to sell.
And the extra 6 harnesses , treadles , and Upper and lower lamms that are not currently on the loom:
Warp separating sticks, lease sticks, stick for in opening of warp beam (I think) and reeds not on loom:
Sides of commuter bench - on side with drawers with texsolve stuff and one side shelves:
This loom has some hand made bits- the beater hanger and the countermarch. We presume that the women who traded this loom made the parts (though we are not certain). We do know that they used the loom in their business (they raise alpacas, use their fleece to make yarn and weave goods to sell). I do know that a countermarch unit is for sale for the Glimaka looms as a separate item and would assume the same to be true for Oxaback if you wanted to have original factory pieces.
The warp beam measures 125 cm but the reeds are 120cm. The reeds are: 3 DPcm, 7 DPcm, 2 DPcm, 5 DPcm, 10 DPcm. I know that is not the proper way to show this measurement but it is how I counted. The reeds are all rusty and will need to be cleaned, sandblasted or replaced.
With a little TLC this loom will be spectacular! Please send pm’s with any question and come to Erie to take a look!
We are asking $2200 for loom and bench.
Thanks for looking!
