For Sale, a Gilmore Big Wave Loom and stand. I bought this because I thought it would have more capability than a standard inkle loom, and indeed it does. I’ve used it both as an inkle loom and made a number of warp rep coasters on it. It did quite well.
The problem is that I just don’t enjoy inkle weaving at all and I don’t see myself getting into card weaving, which I think this loom would handle well. So time to find another home for this.
This loom is just a few years old and lightly used. Currently the loom sells for $340 and the stand is $70, for a total of $410.
I’m looking to sell it for $250 total. I would prefer not to ship this. Pick-up in the SF bay area is ideal. It is rather heavy and bulky. My understanding is that the tower can be disassembled, but I bought it fully assembled from Gilmore, so would be hesitant to disassemble it again. If someone is interested in shipping, I would have it professionally packed by UPS.
It comes with the original set of heddles - 100 on each shaft. Also with the original shuttle and smaller one that I purchased.
I did replace some of the cotton cords with texsolv.
Currently the loom is warped, but I’ll take that warp off before selling
