4 shaft counterbalance loom, weaving width approximately 45”. Circa 1890-1910?
Selling with an older, 11-dent steel reed. Built-in bench, original lease sticks, about 400 texsolv heddles included. I’ve been weaving on this beautiful old loom for several years, but a redesign of my studio means I think it’s time to find it a new home. The loom is typical of immigration-era looms I find in the MN/WI area. Mortise and tenon construction. It’s rather like a Glimakra, in antique form.
I’ve woven everything from light scarves to heavy rugs on this loom. Additional tools (shuttles, antique temples, etc. Available if you need them).
I’m driving from Western Wisconsin to the Keene, new Hampshire area on August 15, and could deliver to points along my route.
