This loom was manufactured, as best we can tell, somewhere in the 1910-1920 range. It’s a big beast, with a 46” weaving width and herky enough to handle rugs without even breaking a sweat. It’s in very good condition - a little character in the wood here and there, but no warped wood, no water damage. Originally, it had a crank on the back sectional beam, but that’s long gone. Beam turns easily by hand, however. Brake works smoothly. Canvas apron would look prettier if it were replaced, but functions fine.
4 shafts. 6 treadles. Comes with a 42” 12-dent reed that’s in excellent shape.
Oh, and it’s free! I’ve recently been the recipient of some weaverly kindness and I’m just paying it forward.
Due to the size and heft of the back sectional beam (those end pieces are cast iron), shipping is pretty impractical. However, if you can get here or get a loom railroad representative here to Medford, Oregon, I’ll help you load it.
