This vintage loom and bench set was built by Ernest L Oaks in Burlingame CA. He was a small loom maker in the 1950’s and hand built one of a kind looms. Asking $600, buyer to arrange transport. Loom is located in San Jose, CA I may be willing to drive to a meet point on a case by case basis.
This loom is a four shaft/four treadle counterbalance direct tie up with a 28 inch maximum weaving width. The bench is a tilted lift top with side storage areas. Both were made by Ernest L Oaks. I’ve completely reconditioned everything, replaced the heddles with texsolv and many of the cords as well. She has her original reed still in good condition and three new Ashford reeds - 6, 8, 10, 12 dent as well as an Ashford raddle kit.
