Hello all! The yarn store where I work is moving in a new direction on the 2nd and 3rd floors and I have been given the task of selling the looms that are currently there. Today we have a 4shaft 6 treadle Baby Wolf loom up for grabs. The owner bought this loom at an auction. I don’t know what type of auction it was or exactly when. The loom came to the store after living at her home for awhile.
I hope you can see what you need from the photos. I’ve tried to show some of the good as well as some of the bad.
The loom was manufactured 8-26-04, has (weirdly) 111 nice, shiny heddles on shaft #1 and 112 on shafts #2,3,4. The Heddle bars are nice and shiny. The loom comes with a 10 dent reed which I believe is stainless steel. The loom has some signs of age as you can see in the last photos showing some scratches. I also think the wood needs a good rub down with some oil or wax. I was going to treat with Howard’s Feed &Wax but then I read the maintenance bit of the manual on the Schacht website which recommends Danish oil which I don’t prefer to use in the winter without open windows. I will leave that to the next owner.
$650 cash on pick up in Erie, PA (I may be able to meet but would want a small compensation)
If there is something more you would like to know please send a pm! I will be happy to answer any question you might have or snap a photo to post. Thanks for looking! (Next up will be a cherry 36” 4 shaft Schacht Standard. Maybe you need both!)
ETA-I have no idea why that one photo is squished- the loom IS NOT!
