** For Sale - Glimakra Standard Countermarche Loom - 120cm weaving width **
Not sure how many in this group are in the UK - but I thought it was worth a try :) Its a lovely loom in great condition.
I bought it second hand 2 years ago and whilst I love weaving on it, for size and practicality reasons I’m loving my David more so I’m not using it, and that is sad for such a beautiful loom.
I’m asking £1000 and you’ll need to collect from Essex or I’d be happy to meet within a reasonable drive if needed, its really easy to dismantle and I fit it in a medium transit with loads of space. For that price you get:
- The floor loom as seen - 8 shafts, 10 treadles - I have the bars for at least one more shaft, oddly I think not for 2
- The warping board attachment it came with (can be removed if you prefer, I don’t use it)
- A Raddle I got with it - think its home made plus a raddle that fits in the reed with 1cm gaps
- Lease sticks and warp sticks and 3 tie-on bars
- Reeds - I have (these are metric) - 45/10, 30/10 and a finer one I haven’t counted which is unused (Happy to take a discount if you don’t want all these as I am hoping to replace with a loom that will take them)
- Bench and sheepskin cover
- All the books and manuals for it I have - assembly instructions, Tying up the Countermarch loom and Learning to Warp your Loom (both Joanne Hall - not available separately)
- The shaft holders
- Texsolv tie up and heddles - I’ve put on my own modified version of the Vavstuga tie-up with beads which makes sorting the treadles easier for me to see
If needed I can also throw in some shuttles / temples. I got a couple with it I don’t use.
Happy to answer any questions, or send me a message if you want to discuss.
