Here she is…. My husband and I are moving 2000 miles across the country to Florida. It took me 2 months to decide what to do with this beautiful loom. Unfortunately, she has to stay in Colorado….she just won’t fit in our smaller home
For Sale $1500.00 for the entire package
Beautiful Schacht Standard, birds-eye maple, 45”, 8 shaft, 12 treadle, high castle weaving loom. She has to be seen to really be appreciated.
Built in 1982 in Boulder Colorado, she spent the first 33 years with her first owner in Westminster Colorado and the next 3 in Lone Tree Colorado with me.
There is not a serial number on this loom. I had a Schacht employee at the house one day to confirm that. It also has a metal Schacht face plate on the front of the castle which I’ve only seen once before and that was in an ad in a 1982 Handwoven Magazine. Mr. Barry Schacht even remembered writing up that ad for the magazine and agreed, there were a few that didn’t have serial numbers and had the metal plate.
This loom has been fully refurbished with 200 Texsolv heddles on each shaft, 8 Texsolv tie-up cords per treadle, and Texsolv apron cords. The harness bars and bar hooks have all been replaced and as a bonus the new bar hooks are much easier to open and close than the originals were
The package also includes the original Schacht weaving bench and warping board, a new Schacht raddle and warping sticks, and 3 brand new stainless steel reeds, sizes 10, 12 & 15. There are also stick shuttles, a ski shuttle, a reed rack, a shaft lifter and misc small accessories included.
South Denver/Lone Tree pick-up preferred but I will allow a shipping company access to the loom, if you make and pay for all of the arrangements.
Cash or cashiers check only.
