Long considered the “gold standard” of West Coast workshop looms, this loom has a 23-inch weaving width, 8 shafts (with 125 flat steel heddles per shaft), 10 treadles, and a friction-brake warp beam. It is small enough to transport to workshops in a small SUV or sedan, yet large enough to handle nearly any project. It has a solid feel when weaving, and can easily handle 10- to 12-yard warps.

The loom was extensively upgraded in 2015:

  • removable castle “top” tray with light added;
  • removable “trapper” front pocket added;
  • tie-up cords replaced with Texsolv cords/peg system;
  • sectional warp beam with no crank replaced with hand-cranked plain warp beam (sectional warp beam and replaced upright included with loom parts)

  • homemade raddle
