I am selling my 8 shaft, 10 treadle, 90cm (35”) Louet Spring loom. She is about 2.5 years old, and I am her only owner, in a pet and smoke free home.
She comes with the accessories she originally came with: 10 dent stainless steel reed, 800 heddles (100/shaft), tie on rods (including the bonus metal rod that Louet NA throws in), instructional DVD, metric assembly tools, lease sticks, and most of the warping sticks. (Honestly, I don’t think they’re great warping sticks, and a couple have been tossed or have become toys for my kid. You can take whatever is left, but I will also throw in what’s left of my roll of builder’s paper, which is also a great warp separator.) She comes with the standard built-in raddle.
I will also include 200 heddles still in bundles, never installed.
If you are interested, I have a Harrisville adjustable bench that I can throw in for free. It’s a little wobbly, but it is probably possible to tighten it up a bit. It’s a very handy bench, with storage underneath.
This loom is in pretty nice condition. She has always behaved for me, and just has a few cosmetic dings here and there from times I dropped a shuttle. (The kind of stuff you might not notice unless you were looking for them.) The front pawl also has a little ding out of it (I don’t know how), but works perfectly fine. It’s a tiny part, and I’m sure could be replaced easily and cheaply. I have never bothered because it doesn’t seem to affect anything.
I paid $4,950 for her new, plus whatever I paid for the extra heddles, which I have forgotten. This loom would cost $5,200 new today. I am selling her for $3,000 cash. Shipping is not available -- you will need to pick her up/transport her from my home in Keene, NH.
The Spring is a great loom. I’m only selling her because I have plans to buy a different style of loom as my “forever” loom, and I don’t have room for both.
