Fireside loom 48 inches, solid cherry, custom built by Gary Swett in 2002. Price reduced to $3,000; original purchase price was over $7,000. Features: 48” weaving width, 8 shafts, 12 treadles, double back beam, 2 plain warp beams, flat-top 42” commuter bench with storage, apron on the cloth beam, beater weight for rugs, lamp and holder. It comes with an 8 dpi SS reed, capped raddle, lease sticks, tie-on sticks, and the owner’s manual.
The loom has a worm drive tension system for fine adjustment on the cloth beam; friction brakes on both warp beams. The loom is sturdy enough for rugs. The breast beam lifts off and the double back beam folds for easy access.
Custom carvings on the beater are seashells, starfish, and a crab. This is a sturdy loom, in fantastic shape, with the quality craftsmanship of a furniture maker. I am downsizing. Cash preferred. PayPal accepted (buyer pays any fees, because of price reduction). Pick-up only, Maryland. Please PM if interested.
