Because I’m not allowed to exceed my allotted space in my studio, have to sell Sarah, a wonderful Gilmore Compact.
Here are the details:
-46-inch weaving width. Footprint open is 53 inches wide x 35 inches deep. Back beam can be removed and back bar folded up to reduce depth to ~30 inches so will fit through doorway. Loom is very sturdy, can weave rugs, but is not too heavy for two adults to easily carry. Advantage of Gilmore is that no warping sticks or other packing is needed for winding on warp due to unique engineering of back beam.
-8 harness, 14 treadles
-Completely updated with “no-spin” kit installed on warp beam, front beam made removable using kit from Gilmore and back beam turned over so harnesses don’t lift up.
-LeClerc open-ended bench with caribou skin cover included
-4 reeds: two, new Gowdy stainless steel reeds (8 and 12 dent)
two, older serviceable carbon steel reeds (10 and 15 dent)
-Gilmore warping wedge (almost brand new) to stack harnesses for easy threading
-Gilmore raddle (used once) included
-Lease sticks
-Inserted eye heddles, around 2000 of them
-New tie-ups for the treadles from Gilmore
-Weighted beater bar with removable weights (for rug weaving)
