ISO: Cricket for a friend who had a stroke
Cross Posted in Cricket Forum
This may be far fetched, but I am looking for a well loved/ used Cricket for a friend of mine who had a stroke.
My friend used to own a quilt shop, but because of his stroke, he had to sell the shop. He no longer is able to do the ‘fine motor skills’ that it takes to do quilting. He was also a knitter and a crocheter, but that also has gone by the wayside because of his limited dexterity.
He attends our weekly knitting group, but often ‘just sits.’ I can see the depression setting in in that he is so limited now. I happened to ask him last week if he thinks he would like weaving? He replied “I would LOVE it” and his affect brightened. He told me that he had a floor loom at one time, but had to give it up due to finances and having to move into a smaller apartment.
Once again, he is limited by fine motor skills, however he would be able to work a shuttle and the RH.
I personally have some tools I can give him (shuttles, bobbins, etc).
If you have a well loved/ used Cricket (old model is perfectly fine/ a little dirty or dusty is fine too) Unassembled is also ok. Please let me know.
I am on a limited income myself, but perhaps our knitting group can pitch in. Let me know what your asking price would be.
Shipping would be to 92805.
Thank you for your help.

ISO: 4 shaft table loom -- Florida
I’m searching for a 4 shaft table loom; specifically, one that uses cord. Currently I have a LeClerc Dorothy 15” which is a real powerhouse for the size, but there is a lot of metal on the loom, which makes it quite noisy. So, I am in the market for a quieter loom.
Ideal size would be weaving width between 16” and 24”. I can pick up in Florida, or I will pay shipping.
FS: Glimakra Emilia 13" Rigid Heddle Loom w/extra heddles

Also includes a stick shuttle, threading and sleying tools, a warping peg with clamp for direct warping, and a clamp to secure the loom to a table.
$280 plus shipping.
The loom is disassembled for secure shipping, but it is easily assembled. Assembly and use instructions are included.

FS: Bobbins and Shuttles
FS: 10-1/2" heddles
FS in US: Cone and Skein Yarn (most local pick up for now)

All the yarns are either acrylic or synthetic blends.
For now, I would like to make this local pick up so each knitter or weaver can pick and choose what they want. Eventually I will be willing to ship, however the yarn is heavy and postal rates will likely double the price. I am located about an hour south of Seattle and two hours north of Portland right off of I-5.
The first photo is of the larger cones and / or more name brand yarns. These are $5 per cone.
The second photo is of the smaller cones. They are $3 per pound. A great way to try out a lot of different yarns at a smaller price point.
The third photo is of skein yarn. It has over 90 skeins and is $50 for the lot plus shipping. There are 18 skeins of Madison in black, 12+ skeins of Tres Chic in pink/coral, 14+ skeins of Paton Astra in light blue, and numerous skeins of Phidar Luxe 025 in assorted colors. A variety of other labeled and non labeled skeins round out the 11 1/2 pound lot. I am willing to ship this lot, however the yarn weights 11+ pounds and the large box will add at least another 2 pounds. Please check the shipping quotes at USPS.com for zip code 98388 for a large box to make sure you are ok with the additional cost.
