FS Glimakra standard, 47" , 8h 10t, in TX

For sale, Glimakra 47” weaving width, 8h 10t., horizontal CM

$1950

I bought this used less than 2 years ago. I no longer do much weaving at all. The loom needed some tlc when I bought it, so I repaired a few dings and polished and cleaned it up.

I also added a new bench (didn’t come with one) , alumnium beam cover (back beam has some grooves from high tension warps), all new texsolve tie up, all new texsolve heddles, warp sticks and warp stick catcher, brand new ss 12 dent reed, stadig loom feet.

I’m including a picture of one repaired area, the largest repair I made. There are a couple of other smaller repairs ( they were little dings that I didn’t want to snag or catch dust/pet hair in)

As I am not weaving as much as used to, I am also going to give the purchaser a box of yarn cones (I could really use the storage space!)

I have more pictures for anyone that is interested. Located in Dripping Springs, TX.

Hi there
I’m looking for a glimakra ideal or Julia near
Northern California. I’m in the Bay Area and can drive about
A days worth for it.

I’m thinking either could be accepted by the DH unlike the standard.

Two Julia’s listed are either sold or unshippable

Thanks

I need to make some room and have to start clearing out things that are not being used.

I am selling a LeClerc Dorothy table loom, 4 shaft, 15 3/4”. Comes with a 12 dent reed, a boat shuttle, a stick shuttle, lease sticks, and the heavy paper I used for winding on the warp. I’ll also throw in a small cone or two of yarn.

Asking $300 plus shipping, or best offer. It does fold, so shipping will be possible, but of course it is heavy so we can work out a fair compromise once we know what shipping is.

I live in Southern Ontario between Niagara Falls and Toronto and am willing to drive up to 90 minutes to fascilitate a pickup. In that case, I’d just ask $20 for gas (which is for sure less than shipping will cost).

ISO: Beginner RH loom to grow with me

I am a newbie, wanting to start weaving. I’d like to make both narrow bands (garters, straps, and decorative clothing trims for reenactments) and wider stuff like scarves, small yardage, blankets/throws (36”-48” wide or so, I figure seamed or doubleweave), shawls, and the like (for modern use & reenactments). In reenacting, we have the concept of Look twice, Spend once: getting a make-do item that needs replacing means spending twice or more. Hubby can make me an inkle loom for the narrow stuff (I don’t plan to WEAVE at reenactments, I know inkle looms’ve only been around since the 1930’s) but I’d like to go with a used name-brand loom for wider stuff.

What I’d like is a rigid heddle loom, in the 16”-25” width range, that has the capacity to add a second heddle later, can use different dent size heddles (ruling out Cricket, Sample-it, or Beka’s SG series) can easily clamp to a table, but is under $200.00 (ruling out new just about everything else). I don’t necessarily need it to fold, nor a stand now, but that would be nice to have later. I can possibly go as high as $250 for the right loom, but the budget is tight this year & the next as we’re house hunting. Please PM me if you have one to sell.
