This hand-crafted stand sits on the floor or on a table. Up to 8 cones of yarn can be held with the yarn fed up through 8 thread guides. Brass pins hold the top and bottom so the holder can be disassembled for easy storage. Made of ash and/or birch, it is 20” long by 8” wide by 16” tall.

Holds the reed in position for sleying and keeps a hold on the lease sticks as well. They are 12” long by 2.5” wide by 1” (standard 1”x3” board)
It is shipped unassembled as it would be easier to store when not in use. You may want to go ahead and glue it if storage is not an issue. I suggest using a carpenter grade glue.

I have a Schacht Rigid Heddle loom with stand for sale. This loom is in great working condition, with a little cosmetic wear from use. The former owner wrote “FRONT” and “UP” on the loom to distinguish the proper direction. Weaving width is 20”. This loom is not the new foldable model. This is a bunch of older spinning and weaving magazines from the late 1970’s through early/mid 1980’s. Included are: Interweave, Shuttle Spindle & Dyepot, Handwoven, Spin-Off, and one issue of Spinnerin from 1963. These are all in pretty darn good shape for their age and some still have the original paper dust cover that they were mailed in. Weaving and spinning are the same today that they were back then, so all of the information contained in these magazines is relevant to today’s fiber artist and is a great source of inspiration. I’ve really enjoyed them.

The Louet David is a compactly constructed floor loom that takes less floor space, but still has many of the same features of a large floor loom.
