My “sale” from a few months ago fell through, so I’m reposting my 40-shaft AVL loom for sale:
Specs:
- Loom model is an AVL 40, the predecessor to the A-series
- 40 shafts
- 48″ weaving width
- Compudobby II
- E-lift
- Footprint is approximately 60” wide x 72” tall x 72” deep
Options and accessories:
- Two sectional warp beams, one 1-yard circumference and one 1/2-yard circumference
- AVL sandpaper beam
- Bottom-swing beater
- AVL new-style auto-advance
- Fireside rolling temples
- 7 reeds: 7-dent (48″) 9-dent (40″) 10-dent (48″) 12-dent (36″) 15-dent (48″) 16-dent (48″) 18-dent (48″) 20-dent (48″)
- 4000+ heddles
- tons of 48″ warp sticks if you would rather beam as a plain beam
- (optional) a large dolly mounted on leveling casters (which convert from feet to wheels) to enable the loom to be moved about easily.
Price for the package is $12,000. The loom is currently disassembled, so can be shipped (my zip is 94089), but crating and shipping are up to the buyer (I believe this can be arranged remotely). The loom was working immediately before disassembly, with a lot of time and money put into various upgrades, and was given a tune-up by AVL.
I took a TON of photos while disassembling the loom, so reassembly should be easy. If you are local to the San Francisco Bay Area, I will help reassemble the loom.
