FS: Schacht Flip & warping reel

I have a 15” Schacht Flip rigid heddle loom and a warping reel for sale. Both located in Seattle, local is a must for the warping reel but although I’d prefer local pickup for the loom I’m willing to ship. I’m in the Seattle area (Everett). As another option, I could bring the loom to Denver in early September.

I bought this warping reel late last year and never used it, so it needs to go. I still love weaving, but I just don’t have the space to set this up and use it in my apartment! It is great for doing long warps on your loom. It comes with moveable pegs to change the length of your warp and the whole thing collapses for moving or storage. Should fit in a standard car with the back seats down, I could potentially deliver. $120

PENDING 15” Schacht Flip rigid heddle loom in great condition. This model folds down for easier transport, and can be folded with a warp on it. Package includes:

  • 15” Schacht Flip
  • 8, 10, and 12 dent heddles
  • 5 Schacht stick shuttles
  • 2 Schacht pick-up sticks
  • table clamps and warping peg (for direct warping)
  • threading hook
  • original manual (not shown in pic)

It all works great and is in good condition, I just prefer to use my floor loom. The retail value of all of this together is $418, I’m asking $275. Would consider an ASIL for a partial trade.

FS: Saori Floor Loom SX60

For sale - Like new, Saori SX60 floor loom (no box)

This loom is lightweight, folds for storage (even with a project on it), and comes with a built in bobbin-winder. It’s well-designed and a dream to weave on, but I’ve been doing less weaving lately and it should go to someone who can really enjoy it.

Loom Dimensions:
• Width: 73cm (28”)
• Depth: 70cm (27”) / 23cm (9”) when folded
• Height: 99cm (39”) / 108cm (42”) when folded
• Weight: 14.7kg (32.4lb)
• Weaving Width: 60cm (23”)

Comes with:
• 1 reed (5 dents/cm=12 dents/inch)
• 2 harnesses (incl. 400 wire heddles)
• 1 medium boat shuttle
• Bobbin winder (built-in) and bag of various size bobbins with and without end caps
• 1 heddle hook
• 2 tying rod with cords
* 3 stick shuttles

Also includes additional accessories (in boxes):
* Saori Threading holder: The reed and heddles can be removed from the loom and set in this holder to warp at a table instead of at the loom. Once threaded, they can be put back on the loom, before tying the warp to the beams.

  • Saori Cross holder: Holds the crossed warp safely to prevent tangling while warping.

All of this costs approximately $1800 new. Selling for $1350.

I’m in Madison, WI and can deliver to WI Sheep and Wool Sept 8-11. I can’t ship, so local-ish only please.

FS: 32" 8s/12t Loomcraft Sabina in Northern Virginia -- $600

I have a 32” 8s/12t Loomcraft Sabina jack loom for sale. She’s an old lady from the 1940s, but she still works great! I’ve woven towels, scarves, and blankets on her, and previous owners have woven rugs.

She comes with Texsolv tieups and plenty of flat steel heddles -- I’d estimate 1200, but I haven’t counted. She also comes with 3 carbon reeds (6, 16, and 20 dent) in usable condition, and an odd little tension box. Her back beam has removable wooden pegs so it can be used plain or sectional, and yes, that is a castle tray on top!

She is 47” tall, and when fully unfolded is 42” wide and 44” deep. She folds up to a depth of 29”. Her front beam folds down to the floor for threading, and the treadle assembly can also be moved out of the way.

I’ve corrected a couple of the design flaws of the Sabina, such as moving the ratchet and pawl to one side of the loom (the original position was the center) and fabricating wire hooks to reduce wear and tear on the cords.

I’m selling because, like lots of jack looms, she takes some effort to treadle (which disagrees with my oversensitive knee). Some of the roller bars have experienced warping over the last 70 years, but that doesn’t prevent any of them from being used -- it can just give you a little extra exercise while treadling. If desired, the bars should be able to be replaced fairly easily with some simple woodworking.

With that in mind, I’m asking $600. She was a great loom for me, a relative beginner wanting to expand, and I think she’ll be great for you too.

Pickup only in Northern Virginia; please bring a large SUV or a truck, and a little bit of help for getting her moved.

Vintage Bonhop Rigid Heddle Loom MN USA

Vintage BonHop Rigid Heddle Loom. Includes loom, instructions, one stick heddle. I could not get a good shed on this loom using it as instructed and pushing the heddles down. I tried rewarping using the heddles to pull the warp up and it worked well. However it would need something to hold the warp in the beater and the heddles. I would think a report binder or something along those lines would work well. I can leave the warp on and include the rest of the yarn I was using for weft if you want or clear the loom. $75 includes shipping in the US.
