ISO: 4 shaft, 45 inch Floor Loom

$

Hi!

I am new to weaving and looking to purchase a 45 inch, 4 shaft floor loom in the Vancouver, BC area. I am not fussy on brand, but would like something that folds up when not in use as opposed to a fixed-width loom. I would like something economical as this is my first loom.

Please let me know if you have something for sale and can tell me what it is (I’ve had some online experiences lately with people selling looms that they can tell me nothing about - and since I’m new, it’s like the blind leading the blind).

Thanks!

PENDING LOCAL PICKUP

Brown Sheep Lambs Pride Worsted

Vintage Ashford table loom, 4 harnesses, 24” wide weaving width. Metal heddles are in good shape. New nylon ties for harnesses added when I last cleaned and oiled the wood though they may have to be cut to disassemble and ship the loom. This loom has been through a few owners over the years and is missing a few nuts and bolts which have been replaced with non-factory originals. The only thing you’ll need to start weaving will be a reed (and warping gear if you don’t already have that). A brand new reed will run you $50 at the Woolery. The loom will come with some stick shuttles, lease sticks, and spacer sticks for the warp.

Everything is in great working order. I have woven many projects on this loom and if space weren’t an issue, I’d keep it!

I need to move this loom out quickly, so $150 plus shipping OBO. Shipping from Colorado, USA. Local pickup also feasible.

I ordered some Willow Green 5/2 from Webs last September and it is STILL backordered. Other similar shades just aren’t quite right for my project.

So…does anyone have a cone of Valley Yarns 5/2 Perle Cotton #5604 “Willow Green” they’re willing to pass on? If you’d rather wind off part of a cone I can see how many yards I would need. Happy to pay for the yarn and shipping of course.

Thanks!
