FS: Weaving Books

I have grouped these books down by price. Except for the $5.00 books all the books are in very good to excellent condition. Some probably have only been flipped through once if at all. The $5.00 books show shelf wear, maybe a grubby finger print on a page or two and there might even be a name (mine) if it had been loaned out. They are all still great working copies for a pretty nice price. I don’t take Paypal, checks work, prices do not include shipping and I won’t ship overseas.

For sale: Oxaback Lilla 100cm vertical Countermarche floor loom; made in Sweden. $3200.
8 shafts, 10 treadles; with bench and 4 reeds (8, 10, 12 and 15 dpi; all in excellent condition). Small footprint, but excellent for fine weaving as well as heavier blankets. Very well regarded loom manufacturer, difficult to find in US.
the loom has been very lightly used and is in excellent condition. it is only a few years old. must be sold due to downsizing and no room in new home.
also comes with warping trapeze and Becky Asheden’s Swedish Countermarche tie up system plus several hundred texsolv heddles (all also in excellent condition).
must pick-up from Albany, NY area.

Toika “Eeva” Countermarch Floor Loom: 12 harness/14 treadles, 60″ weaving width. Includes Toika bench with storage bin under it, loom side basket for tools, lease sticks, full width raddle and 3 reeds, Texsolv tie up and heddles, hanging beater and ratchet warp advance system for warp advance from the bench. Approximate footprint: 72″x55.” It is in excellent condition, very sturdy, constructed in Finnish birch hardwood and weaves beautifully--straight and smooth. I checked this out while visiting my mom and I quite liked it, however it is recently out of print and the only vendors would like an arm or two and several legs in order to purchase.

The Schacht website has additional pictures and information on this page.

All items are new and have been stored in a non-smoking home. Boxes were opened and parts unwrapped for picture taking. New, these items cost just under $1000. I am asking $760.

I am continuing my “clean all the things” rampage. I have accumulated many things that deserve to be loved and used.

Among the casualties of things I love but shouldn’t keep is a beautiful 3ft walnut tri loom from Hillcreek Fibers.

I bought it here on Ravelry in 2014 and have used it precisely… Twice. I thought I would use it much more, but I haven’t.

FS: Beka and Kromski RH Heddles

FS: 24” Beka 8 Dent Reed, 24” Kromski 10 and 12 Dent Reeds

I have been cleaning my studio and found these reeds which no longer are being used. They are in great condition. The Beka has some pencil marking on the left side of the upper rail and the Kromski reeds have the dent number marked on the arch. I am asking $30 plus postage for the Beka reed and $38 plus postage each for the Kromski reeds.

Like new 12” Ashford Knitter’s loom. Includes all goodies that come with one new, as well as an additional 5 dpi reed. I’ll also include a nice tote bag that it fits very well in, though not the Ashford bag. Great little loom, especially for travel since you can fold it up even when there’s a project on it. ETA: THE ARTISAT LOOM is PENDING.

It is time to make space in the studio for new acquisitions. Both looms are in good working order.

Leclerc Artisat Floor Loom. $1100. 8 shafts and 10 treadles. 1981 model. 36” weaving width. Back and front fold up for storage. Two reeds: 8, 12. One bench with storage under seat and on both sides. (bench has braces screwed in; bought it used and it was very dry). The tie up is fast and easy. Loads of inserted eye heddles. Has crank handle. Hard maple.

Leclerc Medico-S. $200. Made in 1968. 22” weaving width. This is a table loom with a full stand. It operates as a floor loom with four shafts and six treadles. It can easily be removed from the stand to transport it to workshops. It also works with the levers in front as a table loom. Two reeds: 6,10. The height of the loom and the tilt of the loom are easily adjustable. Multiple tie ups are easy. Really sturdy and does not wobble. Made of hard maple.

Both looms are available as pick up in Mason TX. This is the northwest part of the Hill Country, so I am in between San Antonio, San Angelo and Austin. I could deliver within a reasonable distance for a fee (gas and lunch for two people) if the loom is paid for in advance.

Newcomb Weavers Delight Loom

For Sale: Newcomb “Weaver’s Delight” 4 Harness, 45” wide floor loom. Does not have the shuttle catch ends anymore…which I preferred. This loom uses cams (and comes with extras bought), that lift the harnesses in the pattern you choose, and as the beater is brought forward, the harnesses and shed then change and the automatic cloth advance kicks in, or you can adjust the brake system. Very easy and quick to do yardage or rugs! I have made everything from rugs to tapestries to cloth yardage on this versatile loom. It has a sectional beam, but I turn those over and use as a regular beam also. Comes with a 12 dent reed, instructions and patterns and a parts list. Very GOOD condition. Pick up only in N. Ga. area. This is a picture of the loom when set up…it is now disassembled.
